Artist Statement
I find inspiration from the natural surroundings whilst working within the context of the outdoor environment. Using materials that I find and using the natural tools as part of my creative process, helps me make sense of the world around me. see what I create as temporary, a moment in time a connection, rather than a physical object that gets left only to be discarded or taken to the charity shop. Rather than the production of a piece of physical artwork, I would like to make a connection and nurture the creativity in others. I have missed the exchange of ideas, the interrelationships, the interconnectivity we rely upon to encourage creativity.
