Artist Statement
"I paint myself because I am so often alone, because I am the subject I know best" - Frida Kahlo
This quote resonates with me and my practice, which stems from myself and the relations I have with different aspects of my life. My work coming from subjects of sexuality, relationships, gender, my place in the world and the understanding of myself as a queer person. My work so far has revolved mostly around figurative work, text, contrast (softness and rawness) with an importance of colour.
